MSC launches new brand AGL

MSC strengthens its ongoing investment in Africa with the introduction of the AGL brand. AGL, which stands for Africa Global Logistics, is the new name for the company, formerly Bolloré Africa Logistics, or BAL.

Bolloré Africa Logistics is the largest transportation and logistics operator in Africa, with a service network covering 49 countries/regions, 250 subsidiaries and nearly 21,000 employees, as well as 22 port and train concessions, 66 dry ports and Two Embarcadero docks.

MSC will rely on AGL as a preferred logistics partner, in addition to MSC's existing MEDLOG inland transport and logistics business.
AGL has a thriving logistics footprint in Africa, from warehousing and cold storage to other logistics solutions. AGL will also provide MSC and all other shipping lines with efficient marine container terminals, as well as efficient multi-purpose terminal and rail operations.

MSC is excited about the presentation of the AGL brand and will continue to invest in all of its cargo operations operating in Africa while supporting sustainable growth and development on the continent.
As a global supply chain leader, MSC understands the critical role logistics play in facilitating trade and economic growth. MSC and AGL remain committed to promoting the success of the African Continental Free Trade Area (AfCFTA) and connecting Africa with the rest of the world.
